THE DAY I DIED is they type of mystery that pulls you in slowly until you are halfway through and completely addicted. With ever passing page, the author reveals another element of the crime all the while enriching the back stories of her characters. There is an element of grit and fear in this book that truly plays with your mind. You feel for Anna even before you know her entire truth. The reality behind the secrets and consequences are what make this book so great. All of the psychological elements will sit with you and percolate until you are just as on edge as the people in the book.

If you are looking for a psychological suspense novel that deals with the effects of domestic abuse and the ramifications of the choices that people make, this is definitely the book for you.
