A Note from Victoria.
Welcome artists and authors! When I first started Art, Books, & Coffee, I will admit to you all that I over committed. I said yes to way too many books and posts without truly getting to know the authors and artists. It became very overwhelming and I was not able to enjoy the books that came across my desk as much as I would have liked.
Since the whole point of this site is to share the love of art and books, I have recently decided to take a different approach. I will not be taking part in too many blog tours or cover reveals. Of course there will be fun things that I will want to share with you all, but most of that will be on the Facebook page. As for the reviews, please take a look at the information below for the submission process for AUTHORS and for ARTISTS.
Genres Read: There are very few genres off limits to be reviewed on this site. If you scan through the posts and reviews, you will see that there is Romance, Mystery/Thrillers, Cozy Mysteries, Young Adult, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Literature/Fiction, Family Sagas, Non-Fiction and Children's books that have been reviewed. Genres that will NOT be reviewed are books with strong political tones, religious ideology, and any book that has explicit violence towards children or animals.
Victoria’s Review Policy: First of all, thank you for visiting the site and asking that Art, Books, & Coffee review your book. I know that this has been a process for you and sharing your baby with the world is a very scary thing. I have been there, so I get it. Secondly, this site has no place for negativity. I will never bash a book or mark something as DNF (Did Not Finish) on Goodreads. Not every book is for every person and that is OK. Even though I may take an ARC or copy of the book to review, that is no guarantee that I will review the book. Finally, though some of the books reviewed on this site may be supplied by publishers, PR companies, & authors, I buy all the books that I love. Unfortunately, most of them are in eBook format because my bookshelves are starting to fill up. So, if I give something a five cup rating, know that I have one-clicked that bad boy. ;)
PS. I am moving away from long reviews. Personally, I don’t read them when I am looking for my next book. I want the down and dirty opinion. Plus, I don’t do spoilers, so recapping the book is like reading the back cover copy. This is not to say that sometimes the reviews may talk a little more about the writing or characters, but most reviews will be quick one or two sentence impressions of the book.
Type of Books Reviewed: eBooks (EPUB, Kindle, NetGalley, & Edelweiss); Print ARCs and Final Copies; Audio Books.
